A native to Michigan, I've been DJing for several years, for college parties, halloween parties, birthday parties, corporate events, friend's weddings and even some night clubs. I moved to Portland, Oregon over a year ago after residing in Los Angeles for more than 6 years. 

While in LA, I aquired a taste in various sorts of music other than the main stream top 40.  I added several genres to my listening collection like 60-70's Soul, Indie, Hip/Hop, Rockabilly, Big Band and many types of Electronic music.

Seeing how tight money is getting for the average american, and the fact that the average DJ charges too much for their services, I decided to actually make a business out of DJ ing rather than just doing it occassionally on the side.

Since opening in January of 2008, Stumptown DJ's has done all sorts of events, from Weddings to sweet 16 birthday parties, in the Portland area.  We even had a contract as resident DJ's for all events at the  Arista and Acadian Ballroom in East Portland for the Summer of 2008.

At StumpTown DJ's we cater to clients that don't want to spend "an arm and a leg" for quality DJ service at their event.  We strive on providing the best in customer service before, during, and after each of our clients's events through professional consulting, planning, and quality equipment.
